CALEDONIA Mining Corporation has set a target of 250 000 ounces of gold per annum anchored by expansion of re source assets across the country.

The group produced 75 000 ounces of gold from flagship Blanket mine in 2023 and wants to become a multi-asset operator following successful acquisition of Bilboes mine, Maligreen project and Motapa mine in the last two years.

Chief executive Mark Learmonth said the company’s mission shifted from being a relatively small operator to becoming a multi-asset operator through the acquisition of gold mines in the country.

“The acquisition of Bilboes in January 2023 builds on the earlier acquisitions of Motapa and Maligreen to create a portfolio of high-quality exploration and development as sets in Zimbabwe,” he said.
