THE Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat) says data from the economic census holds the key to crafting the country’s National Development Strategy 2.
The economic census, scheduled to run from July 2024 to the end of 2026, will gather information on businesses of all sizes, from micro-enterprises to large corporations.
The data will provide a much-needed snapshot of the country’s economic structure, including employment levels, sectoral contributions to GDP, and the overall health of the business environment.
