Three listings expected on ZSE

THE Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) says it anticipates three new listings on the bourse this year. “We have developed a strong pipeline and are confident to have at least three new listings in 2023. The market has started to believe that the exchange is a platform to raise money and this expectation fits well into our primary mandate as an exchange,” ZSE chief executive Justin Bgoni said in the exchange’s annual report.

This follows after Treasury recently said the establishment of the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX) is not meant to destabilise or cannibalise the ZSE as more issuers are expected to list on the main bourse this year. Listings have dried up on the ZSE, with a number of companies complaining that raising funds on the market is now difficult.
