Insurance for Pfumvudza

THE government says it plans to include an insurance subsidy in its Pfumvudza/Intwasa input scheme to shield small-scale farmers from climate risks and promote financial inclusion.

Last week, smallholder farmers in Goromonzi received a total of US$233,000 in agricultural insurance payouts from the Insurance Council of Zimbabwe (ICZ), with each farmer receiving US$65.
