Government moves to curb agric inputs looting

THE country is contemplating the introduction of E-Agriculture next season in order to curb the looting of inputs provided to communal farmers under the Pfumvudza scheme.

 This was said by Agriculture ministry permanent secretary Obrt Jiri during his address at the start of the Sustainable and Healthy Food Systems – Southern Africa (SHEFSSA) event in Harare on Monday.

“I was talking to politicians that the only way we can stop abuse of agricultural inputs is by embracing e-input distribution, using digital signatures…”
