ZIMBABWE Stock Exchange -listed rubber manufacturer General Beltings Holdings reported a 13 percent increase in production volumes, reaching 455 tonnes compared to 402 tonnes in the same period last year, driven largely by the strong performance of its chemical subsidiary, Cernol Chemicals.

In a financial statement for the half-year ending June 30, 2024, company chairman Tichaona Mabeza attributed the volume growth to Cernol’s market recovery efforts, which helped offset volume losses at General Beltings.
