OK Zimbabwe reported a 16,29 percent increase in “other expenses” totalling US$20,17 million for the half-year ended September 30, 2024, up from US$17,3 million the previous year on significant increases in energy costs.

The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE)-listed grocery chain saw its energy supply bill climb to US$8.2 million from US$5 million during the same period.

“Operationally, power outages continue to present an encumbrance to business operations while liquidity challenges continue to strain the operating environment,” the group said in its financials for the period under review.
