DELTA Beverages says its wines and spirits division, African Distillers (Afdis) volumes for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024 rose 14 percent year-on-year thanks to government curbs on illegal imports.
The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange- listed beverages maker has previously lamented the proliferation of illicit imports as creating an unfair playing field.
According to the group, during the period under review, the ready-to-drink and wine segments volumes increased 12 percent and 47 percent, respectively, attributed to “enhanced product supply and a notable reduction in informal imports.”
