THE Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has paid US$31 million to 2024 winter wheat farmers from an estimated total of US$43 million owed.
This comes as farmers prepare for this year’s winter wheat cropping season. In a statement yesterday, the GMB chief executive officer, Edison Badarai, confirmed the payment to farmers.
“The Grain Marketing Board has received US$5 million for wheat payments this week bringing total payments for wheat deliveries to US$23 million and ZiG215 million (about US$8m).
