THE Airports Company of Zimbabwe (ACZ) says that the revamping of infrastructure at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (RGMIA) is going to increase air traffic into the country.

ACZ chief executive officer Tawanda Guzha said the move is going to increase safety in line with international best practices.

“The equipment that we have received is for the safety of our operations in these airports, so the ambulance is obviously for emergency services in the event of an air crash, which of course we don’t wish to have, but they are required in the airports, and to meet the international standards that are required when flying into the country,” he said at the commissioning of tractors and ambulances in Harare yesterday.
