Farmers urged to embrace agroecology

AGRICULTURE experts are calling on farmers to adopt agroecology to boost food security and pro – mote sustainable farming practices.

This comes as climate change continues to wreak havoc on Zimbabwe’s drought-prone regions, threatening the livelihoods of farmers.

Matabeleland South provincial agronomist, Innocent Nyathi, said climate change has drastically altered the province’s thriving agricultural sector, plunging farmers into poverty.
