AIR Zimbabwe board and management do not know the owner of two aircrafts in its custody, a parliamentary portfolio committee heard yesterday.

The Public Accounts Committee, chaired by Citizens Coalition for Change MP for Kuwadzana Charlton Hwende, was told by Air Zimbabwe board vice chairperson Precious Sibiya that the airline had no clue who owned the planes.

‘’We are still engaging with the Ministry of Transport and the Mutapa Fund in order to have answers on the mystery of who owns the two 777 aircrafts. We are a new board and we still need to get enough information,” Sibiya told the committee in Harare.
