THE Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has reported that the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio in the country’s banking sector reached 2,17 percent in the first quarter of 2024, remaining within acceptable limits.
The RBZ’s Banking Sector Industry report for the first quarter highlighted the sector’s robust credit risk management.
“The banking sector continued to maintain robust credit risk management systems as evidenced by the low aggregate non-performing loans to total loans ratio (NPL ratio).”
