THE government has issued a warning against businesses over illegal erection of billboards along the country’s highways, saying they are blurring road signage.
Yesterday, the ministry of Transport expressed concern over the increase in the number of illegal billboards along the country’s highways which are endangering the lives of motorists.
“The ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development has noted with concern the recent proliferation of illegal billboards along and within the road servitudes of the country’s trunk roads which are administered by the ministry, through the department of roads, especially in urban centres.”
