CABLE manufacturer Cafca says it increased direct sales to Malawi following an improvement in the country’s foreign currency situation.
Several local companies have made significant inroads into the export market to generate foreign currency and increase revenue streams.
Cacfa currently exports some of its products to Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, and Mozambique.
The country’s largest cable manufacturer’s export volumes were 32 tonnes up during the quarter that ended December 31, 2023 compared to last year’s quarter.
“All the other markets have remained steady,” Cafca said in a trading update.
