HARARE councillors blew a total of US$11 million on workshops and conferences between January and July this year.
This was revealed at the ongoing inquiry into the governance of the Harare City Council chaired by retired High Court judge Justice Maphios Cheda.
Appearing before the commission yesterday, the city’s town clerk Hosiah Chisango, pictured, said councillors pressurised council authorities to conduct workshops and conferences mostly out of Harare.
