MILK products processor Dairibord Holdings says it deliberately eased its exports to focus on meeting growing demand for its products on the domestic market.
In its third quarter to September 30, 2024 trading update, the group said its exports fell by six percentage points to constitute five percent of the total sales volume from a 11 percent contribution achieved the same period last year.
“The domestic market remains high and largely unmet, resulting in the group channeling relatively higher volumes onto the local market during the period under review,” company secretary Maurice Karimapfumbi said in the Q3 trading update.
