LISTED milk products processor, Dairibord Zimbabwe, has reported an 85 percent increase in US dollars sales volumes for the first quarter of 2024.
The growth comes despite a challenging operating environment marked by inflation, currency volatility, limited access to credit, disrupted supply chains, and inconsistent utility supply and pricing. “Despite the operational headwinds in the environment, particularly the adverse impact of sugar surtax on cost and pricing models, the business still showed resilience by posting growth in volumes,” the company stated.
