ZIMBABWE’S diesel consumption increased by two percent over the first nine months of 2024, while petrol consumption declined by eight percent amid fluctuating fuel prices, according to the latest data from the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA).
As the festive season approaches, the demand for fuel is expected to rise sharply, underscoring a dynamic shift in fuel usage patterns.
During the period under review, ZERA reported that local diesel consumption reached 799,99 million litres, up from 784,08 million litres in the same period in 2023.
