GOVERNMENT is targeting to grant 2 500 farmers title deeds by March and hope to complete the process by next year under the land tenure implementation programme.
This comes as the government last year introduced a new land tenure system to ensure bankability and transferability of farm titles.
This also comes as President Emmerson Mnangagwa launched the programme at his Pricabe Farm in Kwekwe.
In an interview yesterday, the ministry of Agriculture permanent secretary, Obert Jiri, said the target was to issue more title deeds to beneficiaries of the land reform programme by mid-year.
