AUTHORITIES are targeting to harvest 3,2 million tonnes of grain in the 2024/25 cropping season.
This comes as this year’s grain harvest was only 635 000 after the season was severely affected by the El Nino-induced drought and has to import cereals to avert hunger.
Agriculture minister Anxious Masuka yesterday said the country was targeting over three million grain through both rains and irrigation.
