THE Harare City Council (HCC) is failing to account for revenue generated by some of its subsidiaries. This comes as the local authority is struggling to offer efficient service delivery to ratepayers.
Giving oral evidence before the retired Justice Maphios Cheda-led commission of inquiry yesterday, HCC’s finance director Godfrey Kusangaya said only City Parking was remitting revenue monthly.
He, however, expressed ignorance on why others were failing to do so. The other city-run companies are Harare Quarry and Rufaro Marketing.
