THE Harare City Council is targeting to produce 520 mega litres of water per day by the end of this year.
Speaking during a state of the city address last week, Harare mayor Jacob Mafume said the local authority was going to scale up efforts to improve water supply in the city.
“On service delivery, the focus areas for the period January to May 2024 was on water provision, waste management, health service delivery, road maintenance, social service delivery, housing delivery, public safety and security and council infrastructure development, potable water and waste water provision, water supply coverage…,” he said.
