POWER utility, Zesa, has confirmed that Hwange Thermal Power Station is down, resulting in reduced power supplies in the country.
This comes as the country as of yesterday generated 1 048 megawatts (MW) against an average daily demand of 1 700MW, resulting in rolling power cuts across Zimbabwe.
“Zesa would like to advise its valued stakeholders that the national power grid is currently experiencing reduced electricity generation capacity due to a technical fault at the Hwange Power Station.
