THE Agricultural Marketing Authority (Ama) projects that the market size for macadamia nuts will reach US$1,79 billion this year, driven by high demand ahead of the harvesting season.
The crop, set to be harvested in April, is showing improved quality compared to the previous season.
In a statement yesterday, Ama said the nuts are expected to reach more than US$3 billion by 2030 due to global demand. “The macadamia market size is estimated at US$1,79 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach US$2,99 billion by 2030…,” read part of the statement.
