THE Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe (CMoZ) is negotiating with the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority to address worsening power cuts affecting the sector.
CMoZ chief executive Isaac Kwesu in a briefing to reporters on Wednesday morning highlighted that while larger miners benefit from dedicated power lines, small-scale miners who contribute significantly to gold output are struggling due to sharing power connections with surrounding communities.
