THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) has announced new fuel prices in both the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) and US dollars.
This comes as the government is stepping up its efforts to promote the wider use of the country’s generally well received new currency. Zera at the weekend said that diesel would now also be sold at ZiG22,24 a litre, while petrol would go for ZiG21,15 a litre. In foreign currency, diesel now costs US$1,66 per litre and petrol costs US$1,58 a litre.
“The prices are for May 2024 based … and will be effective up to 4 June 2024. The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is at E20…,” Zera said.
