Gavel And Soundboard On Consumer Protection Law Book Over Wooden Table

THE Consumer Protection Commission (CPC) says it has embarked on an awareness campaign in the country’s remote areas to ensure consumers stay alert against errant businesses that violate the rights of unsuspecting rural consumers.

Speaking during a Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (Potraz) organised tour of Matabeleland South Province over the weekend, research and public affairs manager for CPC, Kudakwashe Mudereri, said the ongoing campaigns had exposed a general lack of knowledge on consumer rights

“The current mantra is that we should leave no one and no place behind, so we want to ensure that we cover every place in all the country’s 10 provinces, so that no one, no consumer is left behind…,” he said.
