NATIONAL Social Security Authority (Nssa) director David Makwara was yesterday acquitted of over US$182 661 fraud charges he was facing before Harare magistrate Donald Ndirowei.
He was being prosecuted for allegedly defrauding the authority of US$182 661 after engaging a contractor who was renovating his house.
However, in his ruling Ndirowei said Makwara had applied for the money as a loan from his employer and his application was approved following the submission of a renovation quotation by Zivo Project Management, the company which was contracted to renovate his house.
