THE country’s power woes are set to persist for a while longer due to the low water levels at Lake Kariba.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Wednesday, Energy minister Edgar Moyo confirmed that the power situation in the country remained dire and would not be resolved overnight.
This comes as Zimbabwe is currently producing an average of 1 234 megawatts (MW) a day, against a national demand of 2 000MW — which has resulted in brutal load-shedding in the country over the past few weeks.
