STANBIC Bank says its head office is set to be one of the few commercial builds in southern Africa that combines the Green Star and the International WELL Building Institute’s certification.
The financial institution said it has engaged Green Star South Africa and Green Star Zimbabwe in addition to supporting its 2030 net-zero objectives.
Stanbic’s new head office enables the bank to consolidate its administrative operations into one parkland site in Borrowdale.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the bank’s chairman, Gregory Sebborn, said the construction of the head office embraces the institution’s strategy for sustainability and employee wellness.
