UNKI Mine’s production surged 17 percent to 61 800 ounces during the quarter ended December 31, 2023 driven by increased throughput and higher grade, latest figures show.
Anglo American Platinum said a 13 percent higher throughput supported by a five percent increase in the 4E (platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold) built-up head grade to 3,39 gram per tonne buoyed its Zimbabwean unit, Unki.
Amplats said its group platinum group metals sales volumes (from production, excluding sales from trading) increased by 32 percent to 1,166,200 ounces during the quarter in line with higher refined production.
