THE Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) estimates that the fiscus was prejudiced of between US$1,2 billion and US$1,5 billion in lost financial resources due to corruption.

In its annual State of the Industry and Commerce survey report, the ZNCC said corruption raises the cost of doing business, with 81 percent of enterprises saying it weighs down the ease of doing business in the country.

The ZNCC recommended that the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission be granted prosecutorial powers and whistleblower protections be strengthened.
