AS ZIMBABWE emerges from an El Niño-induced drought that rippled across the economy, stakeholders are heralding the winter wheat harvest as a beacon of hope for restoring food security targets.
Consumer Council of Zimbabwe chief executive, Rosemary Mpofu, highlighted the significance of the bumper harvest for consumers, emphasising its potential to stabilise food prices.
“From the perspective of consumers, a bumper wheat harvest is always welcome news, as this positive outlook reflects the potential for increased supply to help stabilise prices in the market, benefiting households across the country,” said Mpofu.
