ZIMBABWE Stock Exchange listed, brick making company, Willdale Limited has announced plans to develop a cumulative 178,2 hectares of land at its disposal into residential, commercial and industrial stands as it moves to diversify its revenue streams.
The decision to venture into real estate comes at a time the company’s core business of brick-making was adversely affected by rolling electricity cuts for the greater part of last year- a trend expected to continue this year following poor rainfall likely to disrupt hydro-power generation.
The company has approximately 165,6 hectares of land in the Mt Hampden area which is fast developing into a new city while another 12,6ha lies in Christmas Gift, Gweru.
