AUTHORITIES have budgeted ZiG22 billion for the 2024/25 cropping season with maize production expected to increase to 2,7 million metric tonnes from 635 000 metric tonnes in 2023 /2024 season amid hopes of above normal rainfall.
This was confirmed yesterday by Information minister Jenfan Muswere at a post-Cabinet media briefing in Harare.
