Zimbabwe faces US$416 million debt service costs

ZIMBABWE faces a significant external debt burden, with projections indicating a US$416,2 million service cost for the upcoming year.

According to the country’s public debt report, the figure comprises US$374,58 million in principal repayments and US$41,62 million in interest payments.

The projected domestic debt service for 2025 amounts to ZiG30,06 billion, comprising of principal repayments of ZiG25,96 billion and interest payments of ZiG4,1 billion.
