THE country’s lithium production decreased 6,9 percent to 884 860 metric tonnes (mt) during the second quarter of 2024 compared to 940 138 mt recorded in the first quarter of the year, latest data shows.
According to the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency’s Index of Mineral Production, the lithium production index for the second quarter of 2024 was 5,587.3 representing a year-on-year increase of 1010.4 percent from the 503.2 in the second quarter of 2023.
