ZIMBABWE will this week attend the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a focus on securing climate finance to address the impacts of climate change.
The southern African nation is particularly concerned about the growing climate-related risks, including extreme weather events, droughts, and floods, which are hindering its economic development.
The annual event is a gathering of representatives from countries that have signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change treaty aimed at addressing global warming and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
