GOVERNMENT says the US intention to withdraw from the World Health Organisation (WHO), though sad, will not have a devastating impact on the country’s health delivery system.
This comes after US President Donald Trump announced the intended withdrawal in a series of executive orders yesterday, citing WHO’s mishandling of the Covid-19 pandemic and other global health crises.
The deputy minister of Health, Sleiman Kwidini yesterday said the withdrawal of America would not affect the operations of the health body.
