ZIMBABWE’S 2025 economic census plan has progressed, with the mapping exercise commencing in July, and running for four months until October.

“The mapping of establishments is the first exercise towards the census,” ZimStat public relations manager Mercy Chidemo said.

“It involves identification of locations from where businesses are being operated.” Recruitment of mappers is currently in progress across the country’s 10 provinces, with the training of mappers workshop scheduled for the last week of June.
