ZIMTRADE has expressed optimism that the forthcoming China-Africa Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) will enable local farmers to export their produce duty-free, leading to better returns.
During the recent Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the Chinese government announced its commitment to implementing an EPA with Africa between 2025 and 2028.
This agreement will eliminate most duties on African exports, a development expected to boost trade.
