BINDURA Nickel Company (BNC)’s primary asset Trojan mine operation resumption has hit another setback as the group struggles to secure fresh capital to replace its underground mining mobile equipment.

Trojan shutdown operations in September last year to make way for the Sub-Vertical Rock (SVR) winder bull gear replacement which was completed on April 12, 2024 and is now ready and available for production.

“However, despite the completion of the SVR Project, the Company continues to face several constraints that are likely to result in delays in the resumption of mining operations at Trojan,” said managing director Thomas Lusiyano in a cautionary statement to shareholders.
