THE country’s second city is fighting to improve its transport system, including the expansion of air traffic into and out of the metro to boost the region’s economy.
Speaking during a business engagement meeting here yesterday, mayor David Coltart said it was crucial to revamp the city’s railways system, as well as the key roads that link the metro to Beitbridge and Victoria Falls.
“This city’s industry and economy was built on the fact that the railways were centred here…,” he said.
