THE water situation in Bulawayo continues to worsen each passing day amid indications that the local authority will by end of July decommission two more main supply dams.

This comes after it emerged yesterday that the city’s combined storage capacity of the supply dams stood at 38 percent as of April 20 2024 representing a total volume of 157,950,972m³, out of which 141,365,684 m³ is currently usable.

This also comes after one of its dams Umzingwane was decommissioned in November last year after it had fallen to four percent.
