DELTA Corporation (Delta) says the government should amend its tax legislation to align with the High Court ruling in favour of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) computing in foreign currency backdated taxes that were paid in the local currency.
This comes on the backdrop of the group’s protracted legal tax dispute with Zimra that has also seen more companies affected including Innscor and Unki.
Delta was ordered to pay US$54,7 million by the High Court early this year before its appeal was dismissed by the Supreme Court. It now pursues recourse at the Constitutional Court.
