GOVERNMENT says it’s committed to ensure establishment of fingerling hubs across the country as they are key to national food security.

This comes as the government, in collaboration with the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), recently launched fingerling hubs in Manicaland and Masvingo provinces set to produce 1.2 million fingerlings per production season.

This would significantly increase supply and improve the survival rate from the current 30 percent to a targeted 80 to 90 percent.
