Government partners private sector in irrigation

IN A landmark move to bolster Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector and ensure food security, the government has announced a strategic partnership with the private sector to invest ZiG88,4 million in irrigation development.

This significant allocation, revealed at the Zimbabwe Irrigation Investment Conference, is part of the 2024 national budget and reflects a commitment to drought-proofing agriculture and fostering sustainable growth.

Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube emphasised the collaborative nature of this initiative.
