MIMOSA Mining Company recorded a 13 percent increase to 63 000 ounces in platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and gold elements (6E) production during the first quarter to March 31, 2024 compared to 56 000 ounces recorded in the comparable period benefitting from improved process recoveries.

The miner’s milled volumes increased by 10 percent to 715 000 tonnes despite a five percent decline in milled 6E head grade to 3,59 grams per tonne.

“Mimosa navigated sporadic regional power disruptions and difficult ground conditions in the period but benefitted from processing stability following the integration and commissioning of the optimised plant project in the prior comparable quarter,” Impala Platinum Holdings said in a production update.
