PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is expected to grace the Zimbabwe Miners Federation’s (ZMF) annual general conference and exhibition to be held in Gweru early next month.
The conference to be held from July 6 and 7 at the Gweru business conference centre will run under the theme ‘Responsible mining: a catalyst for sustainable economic development’.
ZMF’s conference and exhibition coincides with the miner’s group’s 20th anniversary since its formation back in 2003. The group represents and contributes to the development, growth, and empowerment of the artisanal and small-scale miners in Zimbabwe.
The organization has a total of 60 affiliate associations at the district and provincial levels. The total number of miners being represented is currently at 1,500 000.
